Ice Skating at The Southlands Mall
Ice skating is a great activity to do in the winter. It’s fun and easy to learn! This year at The Southlands Mall, we will be hosting free public skate times on Tuesdays from 12:30pm-12:40pm (subject to change), Fridays from 11:45am-11:55am (subject to change), Saturdays from 12:30pm-12:40pm (subject to change) and Sundays from 11am-11:20am. This will be a great time for the whole family! It’s perfect if you need something fun to do after Christmas with your kids or even by yourself.
Sledding at the Local Hill
Sledding in Southlands Colorado is a popular activity due to the wide open spaces easily available for sledding. A favorite place of locals and their families is at Big Dry Creek trailhead park where you can find miles upon miles of hills perfect for sledding. Sledding is the perfect activity for a family with children and an activity to do with friends.
Snowshoeing in the Forest
Snowshoeing at Southlands Forest Preserve Snowshoeing is a great activity to do in the winter. It’s fun and easy to learn! This year, we will be hosting free snow shoe walks on Saturdays from 11am-11:20 am (subject to change). You can find this event at Southlands Forest Preserve. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty of winter with your family and friends!
Village Winter Festival in Southlands Colorado
The village Christmas tree at The Village Center It’s never too late for some holiday fun in Southlands Colorado! You can find lots of free activities such as ice skating, snowshoeing, and sledding! One of the biggest events to happen here in Southlands is The Village Winter Festival. This event will be held on Saturday January 12th from 11:30am-12:15pm at The Village Center (9400 S. Peoria St). There you can find carolers, Santa Claus, face painting, and food! This is a great community event that you won’t want to miss.
